DT Inspiration with Annelie

Hi everyone,

I'm super excited to be back at D-lish Scraps as a guest designer!  Today I am going to share with you two layouts.

My first layout is called "Beautiful".
Close up of my journaling using the motex tapes and the gorgeous sequin bow.
I have coloured the 'beautiful' title using SC Mister Huey, Neon Purple.
I love using banners with patterned paper it was so easy to create banners using the glittered tapes in store.  And you can also see the close up of the neon Freckled Fawn Enamel Dots.

My second layout is one of my gorgeous daughters taken at Huka Falls, Taupo:

I have painted one of the canvas cut hearts and the 'love' chipboard in gold smooch ink to make them 'pop' and then attached the hearts using my tiny attacher.
Lastly, I added my title at the bottom of the page anchoring it with the gold chevron washi tape and dots of gold sequins from the bright sequin pack.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

More DT Inspiration with Michelle

Hi,

Tonight I have three more layouts to share with you all.

The first layout is for the mood challenge at Jot Magazine.  On this layout I have used a smaller photo and framed it up in with the 'Remember' frame from  Freckled Fawn.  I really wanted to add some texture to my page and the gorgeous Chiffon Heart in Ivory was just perfect and creates a lovely softness on my page.  I also added some twine circles to create movement on my page, with some Ombre Enamel DotsWood Veneer Hearts that I have misted with mist, and a finished off with the little Resin Butterflies.

My second layout pays homage to summer!
Products used: Canvas Cuts - Scallops, Flair Days of the Week Pastel, Vellum Bags - Mixed, Freckled Fawn - Dew Drops - Ombre Yellow

To create my 'hello summer' title I have used on the new vellum bags to hold a small tag.  I have simply stitched the bag to the left hand side of my layout and added the tag.  I then adhered my title to the vellum bag itself.  I love the sheer look of the vellum where it adds another layer of interest to my layout without a lot of bulk and allows the detail of the pattern papers to show through as well as the tag.
On my final layout, I have used lots of wee D-lish Scraps embellishments on this page including : new Two Tone Resin Daisies -  I just love the grab bags of resin products in store.  They are so versatile and provide really good value for money.  Other products: Teal Resin Bird,  Large Doiley 16cm round, Canvas Cuts - Star and Scallops and Freckled Fawn Enamel Dots.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today - I hope you have been inspired to dig into your D-lish Scraps stash or to check out some of the gorgeous new products in store.

Chevron Bags Mini Album by Michelle

Hi everyone,

Hope you are having a wonderful Saturday!

Today I am going to share with you a mini album I created using the Chevron Bags - Rainbow Mix in the store.  How cute are these bags!!  They come in a rainbow mix of 11 different colours which makes them so versatile for different projects.   I like using them as part of my layering on layouts but I thought they would make a super cute paper bag album to showcase all the photos I have from one of my daughter's 2nd Birthday.

To create the basis of my album I first picked out 4 bags in complementary colours to my photos.  But I wanted to tone down the colours in the chevrons as they are quite bright and also to add some texture to the background.  So, I gave the bags a light paint with some white gesso.

Once this was dry I then put all 4 bags together with their openings at one end and used my sewing machine to stitch down the spine to hold the bags together - it really was that easy!  Then I started decorating - I have kept the photos themselves just mounted onto some white or yellow cardstock - mainly because my almost 3 year old loves looking at them I didn't want them too heavily embellished as they were going to be slipped in and out of the album all the time.

Here is the finished product:

Products used:  Chevron Bags - Rainbow Mix, Canvas Cuts - Butterfly, Star, Heart, Mini Two Tone Daisies Resin Grab Bag, Chipboard Word Sheet- Together, Pastel Resin Hearts x 6,  Glittered Canvas Tape - Gold, Washi Tape - Pink Star, Freckled Fawn Wood Frame - Awesome, Flair - Jar of Hearts, Flair - Word Bursts Pastel, Embossed Sticker Brackets & Borders, Paper Doilies - 16cm and 20cm Round, Seam vintage binding pink, fabric brads x 3

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  I will be back tomorrow with a couple more layouts using the gorgeous D'lish Scraps embellishments.
