Totally Awesome by Agnus...

Hi again, I'm back for the very last time with my final design team share :(
I have really loved being part of this fabulous team and am so sad that it's coming to an end but before I get all soppy on you, we'd better move onto my layout.

I have to admit that I'm not really a great photographer but sometimes I manage to capture a photo that I am very excited to scrap. When I have these type of photos I always try to let the picture tell the story and usually avoid adding too many things to the page. Ive found that the key to keeping it simple is choosing colours that are not going to distract from the photo, but you also want the page to pop which is where an unexpected bit of colour (like the yellow below) makes a big difference.

I have been very keen to use the D-lish coloured tulle for quite some time and decided to layer several complementary shades to form a soft base for my photo. I love the floating effect the layers created and added a few die-cut elements between the layers for some extra depth.

I normally keep my wood veneers raw but the colour wasn't really going to suit this page so I used silver embossing powder to dress up the veneers and while I was at it I also heat embossed a couple of enamel dots to match - it was a little bit fiddly but well worth it to have perfectly matching dots :)

Happy Memories by Agnus Kasprzak

Hi, Agnus here sharing a layout using some of my new D-lish Scraps goodies! I paired up some warm tones with a touch of black and white to create this layout featuring my little guy watching the sun go down after a lazy afternoon at the river.

I loved the bold pattern of the Basic Grey paper but it was pretty overpowering on its own, which is why I only used a portion of it and layered a few neutral colours over the top to help break up the pattern.

I used the manila shipping tags from the store to create a pocket for the jumbo ticket for my jounraling and a few simple strips of paper at the bottom of my page created the perfect spot for my title.

With A Heavy Heart!

I can not believe my time is up with D-lish Scraps.....please give me a minute, I need to go grab the tissue while I type this post.

I also can not believe the amount of fun I have had creating awesome memories with some pretty awesome D-lish goodies! And well my stash went from one draw, to a draw, a divided storage box and a small box and maybe my bank account might be a little worse for wear. But seriously I don't care and hubby doesn't need to know!! LOL

So today with a heavy heart I share my last DT layout with your all. :(

Candy Cane Snowmen .. with Alz

I ordered a couple of stamps from Ingdigo Blu last month and as a thank you they included this gorgeous little snowman stamp which fits more than comfortably on a 3x3" piece of of cardstock. He was screaming out for me to make Christmas cards and with all the beautiful new products in stock in limes and reds, how could I resist? Besides Christmas is only about three months away and that time is going to fly! LOL it doesn't hurt to be prepared!

Candy Cane Snowmen

Essentially all I've done, apart from stamping the snowman, colouring him in and add a little glossy accents to his red buttons, is layer D-lish Scraps products on white cardstock cards. So, so easy to do. The products I've used include .. red and lime Coloured Doilies, lime Coloured Wire, rainbow mix Bitty Bags, red, white and green Spiral Stamens, 15mm green with red dot Printed Wooden Buttons, red and lime Pinwheel Blooms, and red Cosmos Daisies.

By the way, these cards would be fabulous for giving gift vouchers as the Bitty Bags are the perfect size for the gift cards!

Oh and keep in mind that you can create a card suite just like this is any colour combination you can think of. For example, pair up the silver and blue Doilies with the white Spiral Stamens and you have a match made in heaven for a white Christmas colour scheme. Just an idea for you to play with.

Anyways that's it for me today. More scrapping to do so I'm off to play with paper and glue.

Happy scrapping!   :)

Inspired by Agnus .. with Alz

During this month's cyber crop Agnus set a challenge to incorporate tags into your project. I love tags and had a layout I wanted to scrap for my SA travel album and so I went with the flow.

The sticky up plants

I had so much journaling I wanted to include, I decided to print it directly onto my background, leaving me the lower part of the page for my photo and to provide some balance.

I achieved this by using a long, panoramic style photo which I cut down from a 5x7" print; and then some layering with cardstock and patterned paper, and a number of D-lish Scraps embellishments. In my layers I have used a sage Coloured Doily, kraft mixed size Shipping Tags and a black Bitty Bag from the rainbow chevron pack.

My embellishments include .. a black Mini Wooden Peg, Freckled Fawn Wood Chips from the arrows pack and a Flair Button from the 2014 Script Words pack.

I love how this page turned out. I feel as though I achieved a happy medium between journaling and making a feature out of my photo for a travel album. Its good practice really .. I have six weeks of travelling around America to scrap one of these days!

Thanks for the inspiration Agnus!

Inspired by Ros .. with Alz

Morning peeps!

During last month's cyber crop, Ros set a challenge to scrap a selfie photo. It didn't necessarily have to be of yourself, but I had one from when I was waiting at Adelaide airport for a flight to return home that I wanted to scrap. Unfortunately I wasn't able to participate in the cyber crop at the time so I thought I'd just plod my way through the challenges here and there and share them when I can. Here's my selfie challenge layout.

Coming home

I have to tell you, I am totally in love with the new Spiral Stamens and Pinwheel Blooms. They really are to die for and so much fun to play with!!!

D-lish Scraps products used include .. Freckled Fawn wood chips, a Flair Button from the fabulously whimsical, Little People pack, aqua blue Coloured Wire, pastel mix Sequins, blue Mini Roses, white Spiral Stamens, cream Pinwheel Blooms and blue Cherry Blossoms.

Thanks for the inspiration Ros!

Mad hatter tea party by Leanne

Hi everyone Leanne back with my final share as a D-lish designer so sad to be leaving, I have had a great time here loved every minute best Dt ever. Today I'm bringing you a 4 drawer easel box card with lots of d-lish goodness on it, I've used the Marion smith mad tea party papers for this easel box card. I had so much fun making this box card and using lovely d-lish embellishments to compliment this project.
I used lots of d-lish flowers and leaves to decorate the front of my card cosmos daisys, cherry blossums peach and burgundy, mixed roses pink, small roses green and red, sweetheart blooms red and pink, small green leaves and the pastel leaf mix. I also added to the front some of the resin leaves

The little draw at the front was perfect for using the jewelled flowers perfect little knobs to open the draws with.

I have used metal embellishments in the draws to go with the theme of the card and I labelled the bottles you can use the wishing bottles and use your motex to label them, then I added one of the metal keys.

Here I have used the metal cabochon frames 25mm and added a 25mm clear glass cabochon inside the frame and mounted it on a filigree cabochon setting.

The inside of this draw I used the little mini mirrored hearts again to match the theme of my card, the sequin jar of red hearts. For some of the draw handles I used the silver filigree flowers and added a gold metal flower to the centre of them.

The front draw I kept empty so I could add a gift card or a piece of jewellery, you can find all these embellishments and more in the store at http://d-lishscraps.openstores.com.au/index.html
Happy scrapping!

I used the hot pink coloured wire to make a heart added a flair button and a tutu bloom flower.

I have also used the love washi tape below my photo.

That's all from me today see you back here tomorrow! you can pick up all your D-lish embellishments at http://d-lishscraps.openstores.com.au/index.html
